在线起偏器是设计用来通过光的一个偏振态，阻止另一个偏振态。它可以将非偏振光变成高消光比的偏振光，它也可以用来提高信号的消光比。
On-line polarizer is designed to prevent another polarization state through one polarization state of light. It can turn unpolarized light into polarized light with high extinction ratio. It can also be used to improve extinction ratio of signals.
